For most NJ cool-season lawns (fescue, bluegrass, ryegrass), weekly mowing during the active growing season (April through October) is ideal. During peak spring growth, some lawns may need mowing every 5–6 days. In summer heat and drought, bi-weekly mowing reduces stress on the grass. We’ll assess your lawn’s growth rate and recommend the right schedule.

Fall (late August through October) is the ideal time for core aeration in New Jersey. Cool-season grasses are actively growing in fall, which allows them to recover quickly and fill in the aeration holes. Spring aeration is also possible but less ideal — it can open the soil to weed germination. We typically pair fall aeration with overseeding for maximum results.

Yes — our most popular option is a recurring weekly or bi-weekly lawn maintenance program that includes mowing, edging, trimming, and cleanup. We also offer seasonal fertilization programs (5–6 applications throughout the year) and annual aeration/overseeding packages. Recurring clients receive priority scheduling and consistent service from the same crew.

Light rain typically doesn’t affect our schedule. However, if conditions are too wet to mow safely (which can damage turf and compact soil), we’ll reschedule for the next available day — usually within 1–2 days. We’ll always communicate with you in advance if a weather delay is necessary. We never skip a visit without notifying you.

We’re also owner-operated, which means the person responsible for your property is directly invested in the quality of every visit. We’re happy to provide proof of insurance upon request.

Our equipment is regularly serviced and our blades are sharpened frequently — dull blades tear grass rather than cut it cleanly, which leads to browning and disease. We specialize in residential properties and smaller yards, so our equipment is sized appropriately for precision work.
